A note from Kathryn:
I am running to be Chair of the Washington County Commission to make progressive, much-needed changes to the way our County works.
Washington County is an extraordinary place, and for the past decade, while serving as chair of the County Citizen Participation Organization and Metro Councilor, I have devoted myself to making sure it stays that way.
I believe Washington County has a responsibility to ensure that our hard-working families have the opportunities they need to make ends meet. Too many Washington County residents don’t have access to stable housing. I’ll work with every city in Washington County to find affordable housing solutions for all income levels, that work for every community.
I love this County. I’m running for Chair of the Washington County Board of Commissioners because I believe passionately that my work serving the Washington County community isn’t done. I will bring an unparalleled understanding of our region’s economy from my work in high tech, a deep understanding of collaborative governance from my time on Metro and with the CPO, and an unrelenting passion to ensure a prosperous Washington County for all.
